Modification record plate mounted on overturn truss.This also has the serial number of the aircraft in this case 13-K3 which along with serial numbers written in pencil on some cockpit panels confirms the identity as A46-147. This code is usually stamped on the cockpit frames engine mounting lug as well.

Tooling required to make one component of footstep.

Original footstep loaned by Matt Denning being used as a pattern to produce a batch of new production ones. I will need to source the hinge and also the return springs.

Production of four sets of battery boxes to go to other Boomerang restorers.

Port side structure main elements mostly completed. Each station of two formers needs to be boxed in on the inside. Still quite a bit of detail work to go on this side.

Early Boomerang

The first five Boomerangs built had the top bar of the rollover truss straight as shown in the photo.
This unidentified frame (one of the first five) was sold to a fellow Boomerang restorer to help fund my project.
The clamp built into the end of the rollover truss holds the radio mast.

Original flare cartrige box which was used as a pattern for the new build boxes in an earlier post. This box has been restored for installation in -147
